To add a little pizzazz to the worksheet, you can program Excel to post the current date above the two columns. And so it's clear the posted date is today's date, and not some other due date, use a little Excel trick to combine both the current date and a brief text description, such as 'Today is.'.
I use a excel file through the course of the day and need to insert the current date in one column and the current time in the next column. I want to be able to just highlight the selected range of cells I need to insert into and hit a macro button and have the date and time inserted into just the cells I. Now there are almost 200 different time slots. In order to summarize the data I need to group these time variables in group. So for all the booking made during interval 3:01am to 3:59 am there are multiple time slots whereas now I want to merge and show all these different bookings into one group namely 3:01 to 3:59 am.

Excel Insert Time Now
Q. One of my tasks is to keep track of due dates for certain financialstatements in Excel, and since the dates are embedded in the statements,I'd like to program Excel to alert me when a deadline is approaching. Doyou have any suggestions?
A. There are several ways to do that, but by far the easiest is to use the IF and TODAY functions. Here's how.
Time Slot Template Excel
Assume the due date is in cell A3 and you want an alert five days in advance. In column B add this formula:
=IF(A3<(TODAY()+5),'ALERT: DUE DATE','')
Excel Insert Time And Date
The formula checks A3, and if the current date is at least five days away, it will display the alert. To make it more prominent, consider coloring the alert cell red (see screenshot below).
Select a cell next to the time, and type this formula =FLOOR(A2,'3:00'), A2 is the time you use, 3:00 is the hours interval, press Enter key and drag fill handle down to apply this formula to cells.
